Our mission is to promote the awareness, quality, and value of Authorized Generics throughout the US healthcare system. We advocate for policies, processes and standards that support the availability and accessibility of authorized generic medicines to patients.

Authorized Generics (AGs) offer an enormous value to the U.S. patient community and healthcare system. This important category of medicines provides the high-quality manufacturing standards of the original innovator and are supported by years of branded clinical trial data. Patients can take comfort that AGs contain the exact same active and inactive ingredients as the brand and are identical in shape, color, size, and taste. Patients also benefit from pricing that is competitive with other, traditional generic products. AGs provide all the quality benefits of brand-manufactured medications and all the cost savings of generic alternatives.

Yet, few policymakers and patients are aware of the value of the AGs. Leaders in the AG community are joining forces to advocate for and raise awareness on this important segment of generic medicines. This website is a home to resources from these companies as well as a useful medicine search tool.
